ZYGOMATIC  ARCH  FX

 

S & S:

  1. Tenderness to zygomatic area
     
  2. Trismus
     
  3. R/O associated injuries. Proximity of  temporal bone can injure middle meningeal artery.

DX:

Treatment:

  1. OMF consult (if needed)
     
  2. If neuromuscular compromise exists, towel at zygoma is applied and pulled out with clamp.
