BRADYCARDIA <60/min
a) Unstable (C.P., SYNCOPE, SOB/CHF) Airway, Intubate, IV Atropine 0.5-1mg IV q3- 5 min up to 2 rng total External pacemaker Consider : Dopamine 5-20 mcg/kg or Epinephrine 2-10 mcg/kg
b) Stable Bradycardia 2ry to 1st or 2d AVB type I Observe only (if not II or III AVB) If Unstable treat as above
c) Stable
Bradycardia 2ry to 2AVB type II or IIIAVB
If Unstable treat as above
NOTE!!! Denervated (transplanted) heart does not respond to Atropine. Pacing is the first choice in this instance. Alternatively, Dopamine (cardiac dose) or Epinephrine(2-10 mcg/min) are employed
