BRADYCARDIA  <60/min

 

a) Unstable (C.P., SYNCOPE, SOB/CHF)

Airway, Intubate, IV

         ¯

Atropine 0.5-1mg IV q3- 5 min up to 2 rng total

         ¯

External pacemaker

          ¯

Consider  Dopamine 5-20 mcg/kg or Epinephrine 2-10 mcg/kg

        

b) Stable Bradycardia 2ry  to 1st or 2d  AVB type I

Observe only (if not II or III AVB)

 ¯

If Unstable  treat as above

 

 

c) Stable Bradycardia 2ry to 2AVB type II or IIIAVB       

       PPM

          ¯

If Unstable treat as above

 

NOTE!!! Denervated (transplanted) heart does not respond to Atropine. Pacing is the first choice in this instance. Alternatively, Dopamine (cardiac dose) or Epinephrine(2-10 mcg/min) are employed
